Experimental production

ATLANT Inc. manufactures product prototypes using rapid prototyping technologies (RapidPrototyping). Rapid prototyping is widely used in the production of ATLANT household appliances, significantly reduce the time required to update the model range of products.

FDM description

CAD-data of the parts are materialized on the technological equipment FDM Vantage SE by Stratasys.

The model is «grown» in these plants, which implement the layered synthesis principle. «Growing up» of the models opens up unlimited possibilities in the metal casting technology, allowing to realize structures that were not previously available due to technological limitations.

Rapid prototyping technologies allow to obtain casting models within a few hours or days (for complex dimensional castings) without creating a special technological foundry equipment.

Obtaining parts models using the rapid prototyping minimizes the risk of erroneous design and technological solutions, as a developer, having a real physical model of a future product, can identify and eliminate design errors and adjust the design process.

Prototype models, with a layer thickness of 0.127 to 0.254mm, are manufactured using the FDM Vantage SE machine, with the accuracy of plastic parts manufactured in conventional injection molds.

The equipment allows you to create prototypes of parts with a maximum size of 355x406x406mm.

SLA description

CAD-data of the parts are materialized on the technological equipment SLA-250 by 3D-Systems.

Using stereolithography technology, one of the most common rapid prototyping technologies, parts with maximum dimensions of 250x250x250mm are manufactured using the SLA-250 machine. The process of stereolithography allows achieving linear accuracy of ± 100µm with a layer thickness of 0.1mm.

The parts are commonly replicatedusing vacuum casting in flexible molds. The prototype model is used for the manufacture of silicone accessories, used for the further casting of the parts.

This technology is widely used in the manufacture of small batches of plastic products, with the material poured directly into the silicone mold.

CNC machines

The punching CNC machine Boscher Hert Multipunch is designed for cutting thin metal sheets with implementing various contour elements (round, oval, rectangular, bulge) with high performance and accuracy.

Accuracy of punching at given coordinates, quick tool change (max 5 sec), as well as a working area with a sheet fixation system with 2 pneumatic grippers are the key to quality and high processing speeds. The 8 independent index tool heads of the punching machine, as well the special tool, allow achieving high performance of machined products.

TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS:
  • Max. sheetthickness, mm: 0.5;
  • Max. work piece size, mm, - 1250х2500;
  • Punching accuracy with regard to the axes, mm - ±0.1.
The sheet bending CNC machine Boscher G-Flex is designed for high-precision manufacturing of parts from sheet and strip material. The sheet bending machine is indispensable for creating boxes, closed or open sections.

The equipment operation uses the method of cold metal bending without preheating it. The presence of CNC significantly improves the equipment performance and increases the bendingaccuracy. The hydraulic system operates silently and accurately. The machine is also equipped with an anti-deflection system, a mechanical clamping system with the ability to quickly change tools.

TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS:
  • Machined metal thickness, мм – 0.4-4;
  • Max. operating length of the metal, mm – 2000;
  • Max. bending angle, º - 120.
